You'd think this wasn't a key part of tower building but we've had trouble in the past (it's listed on the "possible risks" part of the campaign pitch)

Silly idea: the tower of babel may have been giant for the time but probably pales in comparison to modern skyscrapers.

You're telling me a stone building in the 4th millennium BC was taller than the Burj Khalifa?

So either God is slacking on his anti-tower duties (making this a perfect time to strike!), or... The Tower of Babel Incident is taken into account when building skyscrapers!

I bet if you asked some construction companies they'd tell you "oh yeah, that's a known hazard. You can't build much above 900 feet (600 cubits) without serious language scrambling problems"

They just hire more workers and keep going. Those guys get extra hazard pay and a free three month subscription to Duolingo.

Fun fact: the tallest stone structure in the world (ie, only stone, no sneaky steel beams inside), is only 170m tall (555 feet). It's this one.
