@aaronpk, when setting up Compass, which is better, MySQL or Redis? Part of me wants to futz with Redis just to say I did on Widnows...

MySQL is required, I think it uses Redis just for caching or some stuff around the trip tracking part. I can't remember if it's required or not tho.

Interesting... It will be fun. I'm not doing it at the moment... not until I can get off of Plesk. I prefer to have a dedicated web server for stuff like this.

Plus the current server only has so much space alotted. And... compass sort of takes up space with logs. Can you rotate them, perhaps? After all, I wouldn't want to keep GPS data any longer than about seven to fourteen days, lets say.

Interesting, the whole point of it for me is that it's a permanent archive. The files aren't actually very big. There's no automated delete, but they'd be easy to delete manually since it's one file per day
