this tweet was brought to you by me being frustrated at my Fitbit watch and realizing the only thing I really want a watch to do is tell time and be a calculator, neither of which the Fitbit does well

I own one and honestly it is vastly slower to try and peck at the numbers rather than pull out a phone and get to a calculator app. However, with the same aesthetics but more on the fitness tracker side of things, have you seen the Amazfit Neo? amazon.com/Amazfit-Smartwatc…

I've had mine since March and it's been pretty great so far. I have questioned 'jail breaking' it to use gadgetbridge instead of zepp, but I haven't been bothered to as of yet.

I have two criteria for this kind of thing. The sleep tracking has to be automatic, not requiring turning it on at night, and there has to be an API or it has to sync to Apple Health. Do you know if it has these?

Actually it appears Zepp will directly connect to Apple Health. support.zepp.com/us/faq/170

Cool, this is promising then. I'm going to have to look into this more, thanks!

No vibration motor. Only a singular piezo beep. Also doesn't actually show content of a message, really just a high level info with an icon for the type. I do not use mine for notifications at all. I just wanted a digital watch that happened to track HR, steps, and sleep.

I mean honestly it sounds kind of ideal! And a good price too!
