No. But what I definitely do know is it is absolutely essential to the sales/marketing team - according to the sales/marketing team - so we have to spunk a ton of money on it instead of things like researchers and web developers. You know, the people that actually DO something.

Spoken like someone who wouldn’t actually have a job if someone wasn’t selling the product the work on 🤦🏻‍♀️ just because their job isn’t in a terminal doesn’t mean they don’t do work

Spoken like a true salesperson. People don't buy products because of salespeople, they buy products because of the quality of the product. You're nothing but glorified admin staff, siphoning off money from those who actually keep people in jobs. Biggest grift in history.

I’m literally not a salesperson and never have been, I work in support. But I have run a company without sales and marketing and it is brutal. You can’t build in a vacuum.

Fair enough, but it's the 'someone who wouldn’t actually have a job' language I object to. Salespeople can't sell products that don't exist; product makers can sell things without salespeople. In terms of who is reliant on whom for a job, it is very much a one way street.

Can't say I know which direction you're suggesting this street goes...
