If you decide you want to do YouTube or you know someone who is going to start. Make the assumption that 1000 views = $1 earned. Because on average that’s what it’s going to look like, despite a few better paying niches.

Comparatively yes, but not just on CPM but because of brand deals. However a $5 CPM is roughly a $3 RPM in terms of what you keep.

I'm just talking about AdSense revenue, not other sources. (My affiliate links make about 2x the revenue of AdSense). Do you mean brand deals within AdSense? I don't really know how any of that works.

I was speaking to the fact tech and any consumer facing niches has the most diversity of ways to make money. In just raw Adsense tech isn’t even close to the $20-$40 CPM categories of videos... tech usually tops at $12
