I wrote a thread discussing the mathematics of accurately assessing risk. But I deleted it. Don't have the fight in me.
We really need to fix the education system in the US and require Probability and Statistics instead of Calculus.
I got lucky that I got some stars in high school at the expense of most of trig.
My CS degree only required 1.5 credits of ProbStat (about 30 hours).
By comparison, I was required to take about 100 hours of calculus and differential equations.
