i'm finally reading the history of my hometown, so prepare yourself for some new jersey facts

i grew up in one of nj's 22 'donut towns,' in which on town is a ring around the other. in my town's case, the center seceded in 1930 because they didn't want to pay for municipal water. this is really dumb and nj keeps trying to merge the centers nj.com/news/2011/11/princeto…

not only do some of the pairs stupidly duplicate basic services, i've heard it breaks some gis workflows because the centroid of the township is in the borough :) better do your label placement right!
