Ok switched out the mic with my regular mic and the audio matches up SO much better. The SM7B might be the technically better mic but I love how the AT875R sounds, so I guess I'll just buy another one of those.
So here's my current problem with doing voice over combined videos. The two audio tracks sound way different. Not that either sounds bad, they just have very different quality to them. I wonder if the Shure would sound good plugged straight into the K3M? 🤔

I have to say it bothers me to no end when I watch a video where the audio tone of voiceovers is super different from the talking head shots because of different mics.
