I think I just grew up a little as a video editor today. I don't have to leave in the full script of a video. If I'm trying to make engaging content sometimes I need to cut stuff that I might personally want in the video, but doesn't serve the overall message. Yay me!

This is actually way more freeing then I thought it would be. I normally just do a single rough cut of a video before adding the b roll. Now I’m doing a second cut for Tuesday’s video and I notice how much fluff I add. I’ve already cut two minutes off and I’m not halfway 😬

Video started off at 16 minutes 30 seconds after the initial rough cut and after the second pass is 12 minutes 47 seconds and I feel MUCH better about it. Hopefully YouTube will feel the same way 🤣
