I bought a MacBook 15 pro today. It's going back tomorrow, its basically the same render speed as my 13 inch. I think my external SSD is the choke point so no upgrades to processor video card are going to help. #sadface

Hmm — I mean, I do have a larger internal ssd (500gb so not crazy large) and notice slower render speeds as it fills up — but I read/write to external spinning drives

Yeah I really REALLY like the 2019 13inch MacBook. I just wish it came with an integrated GPU, however I totally understand that having it burst into flames would be a bad thing 🤣

have you considered buying an external GPU setup? I also love my 13" MBP. Have had the 2016 model now since....2016! haha

Does the external GPU thing actually work? It's been a while since I looked into it but my understanding was very few apps can actually take advantage of it, and exporting a rendered video would not use it. It'd only speed up the UI while editing.
