US-based international travelers! What phone carrier do you use for data abroad and how do you like it? With the merger of @Sprint & @TMobile I am considering other options like @googlefi or other major US carriers. Has it been seemless, is it possible to get data unthrottled?

I use GigSky with my iPhone's virtual SIM! It's so nice that I don't have to swap SIM cards, and their rates are not the cheapest but totally reasonable, and it's just so so easy. I never think about it anymore.
