i love the indieweb community for its idealism, but on the flip side they really push a lot of specs & standards without accompanying implementations

there's discussion in the thread, but the gist is that stuff like h-card is a decade-old spec without a single fully-formed consumer. mostly the same with h-entry. but instead of de-emphasizing these specs, they're at the top of the 'adopt indieweb' bits indieweb.org/Getting_Started

I still don't understand where this "without a consumer" is coming from, there are plenty of consumers of those, including the app I am typing this reply from.

i mean, indieweb.org/h-card mentions exactly one consumer, which is telegraph, which you wrote and which is the one you're typing that reply from, right? microformats.org page lists 4 implementations microformats.org/wiki/h-card… - of which 1 is dead and 1 only produces.

aha that explains the confusion then. The wiki pages clearly need updating because there are a *lot* more consumers than that.
