Ok I did not expect that to have support for WireGuard ... buying it right now!

aaaand this is why the Security BCP says to have an explicit list of redirect URIs and not allow wildcards 🤦‍♂️

Nah, it doesn't have any title generator in it. You could create titles on a laptop and feed them in through one of the HDMI inputs, but that's the only way to do it. That's one of the nice things about OBS is how much stuff it has built in.

oh I see, looking for an excuse to buy a new computer 😉

If you don't need title graphics or other stuff OBS gives you, you can also ditch the laptop and go with a dedicated h264 encoder instead!

If you wait a few days I’ll have a video about it out 😉 Mine is in the mail right now! At $300 it’s basically a no brainer.

This is the kind of stuff I’m focusing on on my channel. BlackMagic just released a $300 switcher (ATEM Mini) which is probably what you want unless you’re ready to spend $1000+. afaik nothing at that price will do the crop thing.

This is what you can do with an open/local home automation ecosystem. This took me 15 minutes: the light turns purple when @barbot is pouring a drink and green when it's done. Here's some more info on my home automation setup that makes this possible: aaronparecki.com/home-automa…

Oh you'll get a kick out of this then: esphome.io I've made a few sensors with that platform. It's so much easier than DigiStump/Arduino stuff! And you can find esp8266 boards for under $10 too!

that sounds like an excellent use for my extra one! /me goes to put one in his freezer

I am jealous of people who live in houses where they can swap out the built in lightswitches! Living in an apartment is definitely limiting for this kind of thing.

weewx looks neat. That screenshot is pretty nice. That's one aspect I need to keep working on with my setup is putting displays in more places.

The names of these things are terrible. I'm using the RTL-SDR dongle, it's linked down from the "controller" section.

oh yeah guess there are two of them. I don't remember why I used the one I did.

that's what I use, did you read it?

Yikes the Wemo outlets have pretty bad reviews though. I think I'll look for a z-wave version instead of wifi.

I haven't looked for that kind of thing yet. I thought the Wemo outlets let you talk directly to them on the LAN and also had Home Assistant support though!
