Replying to @m_ott
@m_ott I like the Apogee MiC cause it's so small and can connect to both a laptop and iPhone/iPad. That's what I use for my podcast right now.

@ckhonson If you have any suggestions for the Slack bridge, feel free to file issues here: github.com/aaronpk/Slack-IRC… I'll check with the #social folks to make sure everyone's okay with it, but it's easy for me to run the bridge for that channel too.

@ckhonson I could see about bridging that room to Slack too. That botspam is actually all the people on IRC talking. There was a Slack iOS bug fixed a few days ago that made everything look like it was coming from Loqi.

@ckhonson I hear all the cool kids like Matrix. You can also at least read the logs here chat.indieweb.org/social

Just filed my first credit card dispute. Someone at @parksideaustin changed my $5 tip to $15, good thing I took a picture of my receipt. And thanks to @CapitalOne for sending me an email alert about the unusually high tip!

@dreamhost whoops, looks like someone forgot to un-schedule the tweet! The December meetup was cancelled, unfortunately! Looking forward to resuming next year! 🎉 Thanks for a great 2017!
Pretty disappointed @final is shutting down. Their app was actually pretty well done! I've only had the card 14 months so that's gonna be a negative hit to my credit score for a while. Any other good virtual credit card providers out there?

@indiescripter $75 / year
.bot domains are available (kind of) as of today! amazonregistry.com/bot Unfortunately they are kinda spendy. $75/yr for normal domains, $750 for two-letter and other select words, and $7500 for one-letter and special words like "weather.bot"
Looking forward to being back in Austin for @indiewebcamp this weekend! The @EFF holiday party is happening after our unconference day too! There's still room to register if you're in the area! 2017.indieweb.org/austin

@nhoizey Thanks for the ping, I'll reply on the github thread
@sil I know right? There is some new stuff in OAuth 2 around dynamic client registration trying to solve this, but I'm not sure how widely implemented it is yet. Certainly GitHub hasn't implemented it, mayyybe Google has: tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7591
@sil Not a *bad* idea, but also not the goal of indieauth.com. At some point you'll be relying on someone's Github/Google API key, either that of indieauth.com or another service. Maybe check out oauth.io/ or auth0.com/

@timcappalli That's fantastic! Do you have a link to their docs on this?

You're right. I just switched my Atom feed to be a local URL that redirects to Granary. The reason I don't want to generate my own XML feed is it's too hard to get right, especially with all the nontraditional content on my home page like checkins. #indieweb
