hmm, could be misconfigured redirect URI settings then? Try making a new app with credentials you only use for production
Flickr launched OAuth 1 not that long ago, before it was their own thing. Could be the library hasn't updated for that?

Yeah, you'll want to set up a page that can generate an access token for you. Some services like GitHub provide this built in.

For any OAuth 1 service, just use the service's API client and you'll be fine. The old OAuth 1 libs still work fine usually too.
