I just google image searched "router" and why do all routers look like giant scary spiders now?

It's been a long time since I've done a full day marathon coding session, but I am nearly done with a tool that will archive your entire Flickr account as a static website that you can browse entirely offline! Downloading my 124gb of Flickr data now...

Remember the Eye-Fi SD card? that was so good! why doesn't anything like that exist anymore? At this point you'd think at this point Apple/Google/Amazon would want to make one that uploads to their own clouds or something

So awesome that I get to spend my first day of PTO tearing up my desk so the landlord can get to the windows to measure them 🙄

That was fast, we have a winner! SELECT `date`, SUM(IF(success, 1, 0)) AS `success`, SUM(IF(success, 0, 1)) AS `fail` FROM `results` GROUP BY `date`
Replying to @aaronpk
something like this or similar (untested)?: SELECT `date`, SUM(IF(success, 1, 0)) AS `success`, SUM(IF(success, 0, 1)) AS `fail` FROM t GROUP BY `date`

Any clever SQL people out there? Given the raw data on the left, (a table of test results) how do I write a SQL query to give me the results on the right, (the results grouped by date as well as grouped by result)?

Do you ever do the thing in @duolingo where you're given a sentence in the language you're learning and you immediately understand it in your native language and then mistakenly think the task is to type it back in the foreign language?

It seems like with a fail-secure electronic door strike, you could put a regular doorknob with a physical key as a backup in case the power goes out or the whole system goes down, and it'll work like a regular door in that case. ui.com/door-access

Is installing a Unifi Door Access system for my front door overkill? Yes. Do I want to do it anyway? Absolutely.

Turns out if you buy someone an @AlaskaAir flight with your airline miles, it gets added to your own Alaska account, and then you get push notifications when their flight starts boarding and have a mild panic because you thought you were supposed to be at the airport

Just published a new version of OAuth 2.0 for Browser-Based Apps! ietf.org/archive/id/draft-ie… If you have feelings about tokens in browsers, please feel free to chime in on the discussion! You can comment on the mailing list or open issues on the GitHub repo linked from the doc!

The last car I owned was a 1985 Volvo, and this is just one of the many reasons I have no interest in owning a car ever again
Touch screen UI’s in cars are going to kill someone. It forces me to look at the screen instead of the road. Physical knobs and sliders allowed you to use your sense of touch to replace your eyes.

I'm picking up a couple more myself because I just had an older Lexar card fail during a recent stream.
The list of supported SD cards for the Hyperdeck recorders was updated recently, and there are only 3 SD card brands on the list now 😬 The good news is the ProGrade V90 cards are on that list, and they just went on sale for 15% off! geni.us/Jorc
