Every game is just Unreal or Unity and the same clunky shit, running worse than games from the 2000s. Modern CPUs and threadsafe code allows for insanely complex simulation. Imagine Dwarf Fortress designed ground-up for 64 cores. So where are the autistic passion projects?

its so irritating I have a previous gen top level parts (amd) and running UE4-UE5 is complete garbage yet cyberpunk's "janky engine" i can run at a crisp 144 on almost max with very light tweaks
