From what I understand, IPFS is a static file distribution scheme. It would work with a static HTML archive of the site (i.e. if it was closed), but it would not work for the main site.
couldn't you just make a kiwifarms cryptocurrency that let people buy fake ownership ranks on the forum while not actually letting have any control over the website?
That is called a security. It is regulated by the @SECGov. The SEC just finished collecting several billion dollars from Binance and its CEO is going to prison.
