I finished Isom #1. It's quite short so I'll start getting some pictures taken and put out a little review asap. It'll go on Gumroad first and then I'll post it publicly a week after. There's both good and bad. It was interesting enough where I want to read the second book.

The second fight with the Except guy was very well illustrated. The hero shot on those pages stood out as a high point.

"Except" concept could be cool... sort of like x-men in that regard. nothing wrong with trying a different artist for #3 though... also drop any use of the word "super hero" if "excepts" is what they're called.

the 2nd book reads like a fever dream, same rushed low quality art and colors. It's startling I have a recent book El taeb colored Wraith of God and he did an amazing job. Isom colors are turrible.

I think the pacing of the first book could have been better. Alphacore and Yaira really came off as mere cameos but perhaps the former isn't aware of Avery being some superhuman. Guess we'll find out in Alphacore and Yaira books.

But how did you get past the traced table?

It didn't fill you with enough rage to accuse the author of charity fraud?

You said you didn't like cape-shit, so I'd recommend "Black Science" by Image Comics. It's about a dude who invents a machine that punches through realities, there's an accident, and they're sent through alternate realities. One has space-Indians fighting WW1 Germany in America.
