As @Google+@YouTube want to force ads on people, I am cancelling my premium subscriptions. I was grandfathered from Google Music to YT Red to YT Premium & YT Music. Would be 8 years this week. Please reply with your favorite ways to block ads on all devices. #MurderGoogle

Just spent my day unsubscribing from everything Google related and setting up adblock on TV. I've got a VPN and SmartTube and am comfy.

Brave on mobile (assuming you're on Android). Turn on background play in the media settings. Go to YouTube music. Enjoy telling them to fuck off. Literally no reason to give those assholes another cent.

Thinking of doing the same but with YouTube Music alone. I really like the service but I don't want to fund this bullshit any further.
PC = Brave Browser iOS = uYou Plus (Sideloaded) Android TV = Smart Tube

To answer your inquiry about avoiding giving Spotify money as well, you can use adblocked clients blockthespot on windows, spotify-adblock on Linux. The best possible thing you can do for any media though is self-hosting. You can use Plex to stream your music, and rip from Deezer
