ok, it's time to stop doomposting and it's time to start planning for my boomer future Amerimutts, if I return to the fatherland, how easy is it to get into fishing? What sort of time investment am I looking at between commitment and grilling a large mouth bass for supper?

How easy to get into it, verily, if your autism doesn't hurt. The problem is depending on your locale and if there's seasons / licensing. Time investment can be iffy, sometimes you're just unlucky; but that's also why you try to catch more than one so it's not a daily struggle.

You should buy land in the bayou in Louisiana. Many ppl in the sektur already did. The you can fish alligators and gay frogs.

EZ just go to walmart and get an ugly stik Time: all day until you catch something unless you are at a publicly stocked resovoir in which case you will only catch shitty bluegills. if you actually want tasty fish consistently you need a boat or wading boots for streams.

Fishing is an excuse to drink and socialize, at least where I live.

Pensacola's is pretty well known for fishing. Don't eat Largemouths, the water they're in affects flavor. Fishing's a great way to channel your autism with all the shit you have to learn to get really proficient at it, it's a massive rabbithole and I personally love it.

It literally depends on location, bait, type of fish you want and type of body of water. Best fish I've ever caught was fishing off the coast with a boat.

Super easy. I learned really fast when I was a kid from my dad. Just get a semi-decent pole and a basic tackle box and you’ll be most of the way there. As far as whether or not to use bait or a lure that totally depends what you’re fishing for and where.
