ok, it's time to stop doomposting and it's time to start planning for my boomer future Amerimutts, if I return to the fatherland, how easy is it to get into fishing? What sort of time investment am I looking at between commitment and grilling a large mouth bass for supper?

Don't eat bass, you want to eat walleyes. You want to be near a walleye lake.

Shore fishing, can be done for under 100$ and and afternoon. Lake fishing can get expensive because of needing a boat. Pontoons, row boats and canoes can easily be found for under 1000$. As far as time, learning to tie lures and decent casting can happen in under a week.

If the local meth heads in Manchester can do it successfully I think it’s probably pretty easy, assuming you have a lot of free time to devote to it.

if you’re near somewhere that is fish-abundant then you can pretty reliably get a weeks worth of fish in a given weekend as long as you save up through the months where you won’t be getting as much. Investing into smoking and preserving fish will go a long way for a side hustle

Just breed shrimp. It's a gold mine.

As little or as much as you want to spend. Couple hundred or less, or if you are a cringe retard, thousands.

You'd need to tell people where you want to settle in first.
