I lived within 15 minutes of this for more than 10 years. It sucks. Some of the worst traffic in the world. The Florida state troopers ticket almost half a billion dollars annually. Beaches are privately owned. Public beaches are crowded. Sea water sucks. I hate sand.

I was thinking about moving there. Everywhere in the US has someone saying it sucks.

Florida is the best state to move in if you are one of two categories of people: 1. Avid fishermen who will go out on a boat and fish in the Gulf multiple times a month, or 2. People who intend to stay in a permanently air conditioned environment (home and car via garage).

Blue tech cities are hell. I want to live near the sea, lift weights, and not pass by hobos seizing on the sidewalk as I walk to the grocery store. This is apparently impossible in the USA
