I like how Elon's name change forces all publications to refer to it as "the social media platform formerly known as Twitter" like when Prince changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol and everyone just called him "the artist formerly known as Prince".

I am serious confused as to what the branding is at all. Are we meant to just call this site X now? What about when you "tweet", what do you call that? What is the minimalist X logo meant to represent, is it a razor blade against an arm?

I'm pretty sure the joke was that the symbol's pronunciation IS "the artist formerly known as Prince".

I like it just for the fact it adds an unpredictable layer of surrealism to clown world. Like imagine peering into the future and seeing “the platform formerly known as twitter” in headlines. Enticing. Retarded. 🤡
