BREAKING:
Starbucks has banned Pride decorations in its stores halfway through Pride Month, the company's workers union has revealed. Leftwing Trans activists claim this means Starbucks is "caving." Good! Keep the pressure on, folks.
The coffee company has highlighted its work on behalf of LGBTQ+ rights extensively on its website, including a timeline of its history of inclusion. It sponsors Pride parades, including in Los Angeles and San Diego. Meanwhile, it's facing boycott calls after airing an ad in India celebrating a young person's transition. In a statement, the company said it unequivocally supports the LGBTQIA2+ community. It would continue to use its voice to advocate for a greater understanding of the importance of inclusion and diversity across the communities they serve worldwide. However, The company has been accused of failing to live up to its standards regarding trans employees.
The decision guarantees further attacks on LGBTQ people and culture. Now, homophobic and transphobic people know that their words and actions hold weight and that companies will run scared of them. And so they'll keep up the attacks, say trans activists.
It's about time we stop pushing one side onto the other. Be prideful and happy about your life, choices, I agree. Just stop sexualizing our children and making everyone bow down to you. We don't have to agree or participate in your ideology.
