Basically you allowed them to keep emergency pandemic level funding shown clearly by the upright bars on the chart annually and then the moving average as the black line. The red line would have been the former pre-COVID-2019 trend line if we returned to that. The elevated fiscal spending is more than a trillion dollars added to prior spending and is partially driving INFLATION. You guys failed. Pandemic is OVER - there is no need to keep that level of spending. NONE.

McCarthy's trying to claim victory after a compromise was reached between himself and the President! McCarthy's "tooting his own horn" a little loudly! Anyway, a deal, "hopefully," will be passed through both chambers of Congress! "This would be a win for diplomacy and America!"

Kevin this "deal" is another in a long line of surrenders by the GOP so it's not surprising. My guess is a challenge to your election as Speaker is in the offing.

Now doing budget process cut spending more.. cut..cut..cut should be the mantra of your speakership..... And come up with a balanced budget plans in few yrs...
