Washington is collecting more money than ever. But it's also spending the most. So it’s not a revenue problem—it’s a spending problem. 60% of Americans believe that spending limits should accompany any debt limit increase. That's exactly what Republicans are fighting for.

You raised the debt ceiling 3 times under Trump without objection. You now have a problem with it? Pass a clean debt-ceiling bill, Speaker Gaetz.

Polls are polls, are not reliable and determine nothing. It's your manufactured crisis. The Monmouth poll finds that a majority of Americans — 51% -- believe raising the debt ceiling should be dealt with separately, versus 25% who want it tied to negotiations over federal spending. That stands in contrast to CNN’s, which shows 60% of Americans saying that Congress should only raise the nation’s debt ceiling if it cuts spending at the same time. nbcnews.com/meet-the-press/m…

Polls are polls, are not reliable and determine nothing. Government Spending never lowers inflation, never lowers a debt. That's a lie. Government employees never contribute to GNP
