Default is an option & happened 4x already & would benefit U.S.A. How ? 1. Federal reserve goal to rebalance the labor force so supply/demand meet would be greatly expedited by this alleged " 8M jobs". 2. Too much US Debt ( 32 TRIL) 3. Reduce inflation w less spending & less demand for goods because of job cuts 4. Would drop asset ( stock market) prices. We are in a asset bubble ( like nvda at 179x earnings) & that would reduce wealth inequality ( top 10% own 89% stocks) & reduce inflation by disappearing money supply These are all great benefits for a temporary US Default.

I hope this was not done to help big pharma more because I know across the board at all of the companies they have been working on various drugs/treatments in their pipeline and acquiring many small biotech firms in cancer the past 3 years.
