Washington is sitting on $60 billion dollars in unspent COVID funds, even though the pandemic is over. Republicans want to claw that money back for taxpayers. Democrats are fighting us over that. That's crazy.

Kevin, you keep lying to us. You pretended you want to "save money" and you are at the same time looking to increase Congress' salaries by $30,000/person. What "public servant" gets that kind of raise? Aren't you grifting enough? 😉

That's your best criticism? $30,000 x 450 is less than 14 million. If someone did a Pareto Analysis of government waste, your example would have to be lumped into the "Other" category.

Interestingly, studies have shown that 54% of Republican voters are from states with lower levels of education and higher poverty rates controlled by Republican state houses. It is puzzling that despite this, they often vote in favor of wealthy individuals, as demonstrated by the fact that 87% of the $2.7 trillion tax cuts under Trump went to the top 1%. A worker on a construction site has the same tax rate as Jeff Bezos. In addition, it is worth noting that around 60% of the nation's GDP comes from Democrat-voting states. These issues deserve more attention and discussion Mr. President.
