House and Senate Republicans agree: raising the debt limit without getting spending under control would be irresponsible.
We have more than enough votes in the Senate to stop any bill raising the debt ceiling without substantive spending and budgetary reforms. Thank you to my colleagues who signed this letter.

This is all on you Kevin and the MAGA Republicans who had no problem under Trump raising the debt ceiling 3 times! Now you're literally holding it hostage to try and pass bills that will eliminate much needed benefits to working Americans. Stop Lying and being such a Coward.

🛑 @SpeakerMcCarthy ~ Tell us why you want to ELIMINATE funding for 2,000 BORDER Agents in your Debt Ceiling bill? Or why you want to defund the police? YOUR bill would result in the layoffs of 108,000 teachers, & 30M fewer outpatient visits for veterans newrepublic.com/article/1724…

You don't have to be MAGA to see what is obvious- that the intelligence community interfered in the 2020 election. piped.video/watch?v=4mQVnWxI…

Oh Kevy…you know the ceiling debt is for bills already incurred. You just want to give more money to your wealthy friends by taking what doesn’t belong to you. You have done nothing to protect or enrich the lives of average Americans. Shame on you. #GOPClownShowContinues

Not raising the debt limit would be irresponsible. You did it THREE TIMES during the prior administration and then raised the debt. #StopGOPLies
