Why won't the president sit down to negotiate a responsible debt limit increase? What is he afraid of?

For the same reason, you won't sit down and negotiate anything

Staying awake? Wondering what the word negotiate means? Is there ice cream? Can we call a lid? Can we blame Trump? Money, I like money, can we spend it all??

Because Biden doesn't know what is going on unless someone is there to tell him what to say. Hold the line!! Stop sending our money to Ukraine!!!.

The people who control him are assuming you will cave- isn't that what Repubs always do? Where is the Jan.6th video you promised to release?

I’m afraid that this totalitarian government have the advantage on the #DebtLimit issue. Either you can cave and give them exactly what they want or you can hold out. But once the Debt Limit is reached, you will be blamed for all of the aftermath - - the #default on debt obligations, the crash of the #markets, and the looming #recession!

How about reducing the debt? It is not responsible to increase the debt limit.
US govt debt has gone from $1.2 trillion to $31.4 trillion since 1980. 1980 Debt to GDP = 26% 2023 Debt to GDP = 123% 2040 Debt to GDP = ??? Anyone who thinks this path is sustainable is insane.
