Why won't the president sit down to negotiate a responsible debt limit increase? What is he afraid of?

He's treating the debt limit the same way he treats the border crisis. He wants to ignore it and hopes it goes away.

Heโ€™s not afraid of anything, least of all YOU! The debt limit is a non-negotiable issue. You incur the debt, you pay your obligations. Itโ€™s NOT an issue you hold over the heads of the American people. You are the worst Speaker in history. Look at your list of non-accomplishments!
