If we bury our heads in the sand & ignore the debt crisis—as President Biden is doing—over the next 10 years, 17.5% of your taxes will be used just to pay interest on our national debt. Not defense. Not social programs. Not even the debt itself. That's just to pay the interest.

A constitutional amendment requiring a balanced budget is the only way to solve overspending. Politicians will never balance the budget if it's left up to them. I would study States that have successfully maintained balanced budgets by law. Items could include: 1) Spending based solely on ACTUAL revenues collected over a prior period such as the last 12 months. 2) An unspendable rainy day fund for natural emergencies. 3) Requirement that if the government must exceed revenues (war, etc) a 2/3 majority will be required in both houses subject to presidential veto AND renewed annually until debts are forcibly repaid and balance returned. 4) Defense spending would need some kind of special protection as it's the primary duty of the government. 5) Every bill in congress must be applicable to a specified department of the government only. No mixing into a single bill. 6) No bill to exceed ## pages to allow full reading and comprehension. 7) LINE ITEM VETOES for each congressional member for any section of a bill to which they disagree. You don't have to approve the entire bill. 8) LINE ITEM VETO for the president subject to 2/3 congressional override. My 2 cents.

Start using Lend-Lease for Ukraine: @POTUS and @SpeakerMcCarthy, while concerns about the national debt are valid, providing Lend-Lease assistance to Ukraine is a strategic and cost-effective way to support their defense. By utilizing Cold War-era gear, we minimize expenses.

President Biden’s budget REDUCES the deficit by $3 trillion over the next 10 years. Trump INCREASED the deficit by $7.8 trillion. Current GOP proposals would INCREASE the debt by $3 trillion over 10 years.

Love how you skip reading the OP you're replying to. President Biden's budget is based on electric cars lowering cost of living for Americans and a bunch of other fairy tales.

You obstruct him from fixing what Trump dumped on us. You and your 1% are responsible for our homeless problem. Your politics caused it. The longer you obstruct change, the more people will suffer. Many more will become homeless as a result. That's your plan, though, isn't it.
