I’m worried about how the President is handling the debt ceiling. By ignoring it, he is walking us in to the first default in our nation’s history. We have a responsibility to act for future generations—before it’s too late.

Democrats have the senate.. they literally do not have to negotiate the debt ceiling.. and they are certainly not going to know when you guys increased at three times with help from Democrats under Trump because they knew there was nothing they could negotiate with the ceiling.. they knew they had to wait until the budget became available. It’s the same concept .. if I was the president I would straight up tell you that we’re not negotiating the debt ceiling, if you want to negotiate the budget later this year by all means, but the debt ceiling is not up for negotiation at all. Democrats did you guys a courtesy during the trump years, you will do the same or you will be blamed for it

What is wrong with you? Every other Congress passed a clean debt ceiling even though Trump added added trillions to the debt. Do the right thing and deal with the budget later.

Raising the debt ceiling is your obligation, not his. Saying you won’t do it until he gives in to your demands doesn’t absolve you of that

@SpeakerMcCarthy - you didn’t seem so worried when Donald Trump spent all that money on a tax cut for the top richest 1%. #BlameGOPforSpending
