American workers built the Empire State Building in about 400 days. Now, if we want to build a road, pipeline, or power line—it gets held up for an average of 5 years. TODAY, with H.R. 1—the Lower Energy Costs Act—@HouseGOP will pass a common-sense solution: permitting reform.

The GOP Speaker in name only can’t address school shootings. (Though he would happily talk about Easter and movies.) Meanwhile his minions focus on the crisis of “public urination.” (And even get that wrong.) #GOPClownShowContinues #TakeItBack24

You love to cherry-pick, Kevin! What you leave out are all the ways HR1 gives away even more subsidies to oil and gas companies. Isn't over #100YearsOfOilSubsidies enough? You'd think that they were profitable enough to stand on their own. You and the entire GOP are oil&gas lackeys. Yes, we need permitting reform, sure. But not to protect your fossil fuel overlords.

McCarthy there were very few jobs to be had in 1929 and people died Building it. Start thinking outside the Box. Common -Sense is not how fast you build it but how right it is built. Do it fast without any regulations and face the consequences later. Republicans stopped regulations on RailRoad Safety and now an entire Town in Ohio is contaminated for years to come. Republicans stopped regulations on Banks and some people could have lost everything if it was not for the federal reserve bailouts just a few weeks ago.
