Congress nullified the DC City Council's soft-on-crime, and with it, Republicans are sending a message to every city in America. - No more defunding police - No more skyrocketing crime - It's time to restore safety to our streets.

The DC Crime Bill was going to help!!! All you are looking at is PUNISHMENT!!! Which if you look at our Criminal Legal System does not work!!! The US needs to think differently about how we deal with crime. How about you do that @SpeakerMcCarthy???

Just an FYI, his home district of Bakersfield has one of the highest crime rates in America and is run by the GOP, has no defended police, and a tough-on-crime prosecutor

Somebody needs to tell ole Joe about this. He just said yesterday, that Republicans are the ones who want to defund the police.

The party who claims they want govt so small you don’t notice it and cries about overreach and “everything should be states’ rights” just had a bunch of rich elitist outsiders tell a US city they don’t get to make their own laws. We notice. They wouldn’t do that to Dallas, TX
Government should be so small you don’t even realize it’s there.

what kind of cops do we get? the capitol police kind, the fbi kind or the average hard working street cops?
