California had a nearly $100B surplus—a stat previously touted by Governor Newsom. Yet, CA is one of only 4 states that has failed to repay its debt, leaving hardworking Californians to foot the bill. I commend @JayObernolte and the CA GOP for holding Newsom accountable.

I'm leading my colleagues in telling @GavinNewsom that forcing California employers to pay higher FUTA taxes because of the failure of our State to pay its debts, in a year when the State had a multibillion-dollar budget surplus, is nothing short of theft.
