Senator Manchin correctly pointed out that “we have to negotiate” on a responsible debt limit increase. Families and businesses have to live within a budget — Washington must as well. I look forward to sitting with President Biden at the table.

Don't let the fact they left a problem to the worst time, blind the fact that a more comprehensive solution will always be needed whatever the short term reaction is

That's fine, but leave my social security alone. I plan to retire this year, and I am counting on my social security as a major portion. @RepGregMurphy

You've already spent us into poverty. You don't need to "negotiate" on a "responsible debt limit increase," because it's entirely irresponsible to increase it. You need to "negotiate" debt reduction. Period.

I wouldn't trust Joe Manchin as far as I could throw him.

Your boy added 7 trillion in 4 years the debt ceiling was raised 3 times and it’s not a budget. It’s the debt you all agreed to. It has to be paid. You’ll never get your trash budget approved because you don’t control the senate. Even with manchin in republicans pockets
