On #Juneteenth, we celebrate freedom for all. Our founders' brilliant framework created an unprecedented pathway for every American, no matter their race to enjoy life and liberty. 156 years ago started a new day in America as the last enslaved people claimed their rights.

Again, you failed the test. Juneteenth is about the emancipation of the last enslaved African Americans, amounting to 250,000. It took over a century before they received all their rights.

I remember when the GOP expressed such a strong opposition to the creation of Juneteenth

You know that some of those brilliant founders were slave owners, right?

How do you feel about our 1st African American president? You can pretend racism doesn’t exist all you want, but it is so OBTUSE to do so. We have a racism problem in this country. If you ignore it, we will not make any progress. You represent South Carolina. Give me a break.

No, we do not. This is a celebration of the freedom of Black Americans. Of course, you'd be here trying to water down its significance. I'm sure your grandfather would be so "proud" of you. Cotton to Congress to carry-on of white supremacy. #SenatorMushmouth
