Charter schools ARE public schools using public dollars to educate children in a different manner than traditional district schools. As long as these schools operate with transparency and are non-profit they are a great complement to a community!

Have you actually looked at the quality of education they provide? Consistently the kids who I’ve worked with from charters are poorer readers, have worse mathematical reasoning, and can’t collaborate to save their lives. Their parents have been hoodwinked. It’s tragic.
