Charter schools are NOT held to the same standards as Public Schools. They can refuse enrollment to anyone. They do Not include programs for Special Needs kids. also some charter schools are for profit institutions. #ProtectPubliceducation All kids deserve quality education !!

Yes, now you've got it! The only way to allow some kids to thrive is to sperate them from the kids who should be expelled but remain in school...

But the vast majority of school aged children attend public schools. We need to make sure all public schools are well funded and are kept up to high quality standards also.

My liberal friends tear me apart for this but what's wrong with vouchers giving parents the power of choice? Nothing better to improve the quality of schools than accountability.

Charter schools that fall short of certification and/or go bankrupt leave hard-working middle-class and working poor taxpayers holding the bag! They keep the profits, go belly up, stiff the taxpayers, stiff cities & towns that are owed back taxes, banks & other investors.

Lie, no federal dollars! Democrats do not want private schools to end. We don't want general taxes to go to private schools, so people can pay for the schooling privately. Or if the "city" wants to they can have a waiver up to one child tax as Wood go to public school.
