When I failed four classes my freshman year of high school, my mama wouldn’t let me give up. Her strong guiding hand in my education helped me get back on the right path. This is why I will always advocate that parents know what’s best for their children.

Parents are important to their child's education, but to politicize education, as the maga trumpers have done is wrong. Teachers are professionals. They go through training, above and beyond their degrees, oh how to teach, mange a classroom, form lesson plans etc.

That has zero to do with investing in public education and ensuring a fair, balanced array of opportunities free from religious aspects.

For *their* children. A small group of parents shouldn't get to dictate things for *all* children in a school.

Yet government will tell parents when their child that was raped they must carry that baby.

Did your mom carry you for 52 weeks? You don’t even know how long the gestation period is for a child. Why should we believe you know anything that comes after that?

Sadly, Tim, your mama is not everybody's mama. So count your blessings. But also be a Christian and acknowledging the advantages you've had that others do not.

So how will that work. I am glad my children read "difficult" books like Beloved, Grapes of Wrath, the Diary of Anne Frank, etc in school. It expanded their world view. That is why you cannot have parents determining curriculum.

She apparently forgot to guide you through your freshman year. How old are you? 56? As a constituent I am kinda tired of hearing, “My mama…”. Parents have an input to their child’s education, opportunities for conferences and a parent can help but educators educate children.

So disingenuous. Did your mama homeschool you? No, she trusted your education to men and women that have spent their lives learning the how to do just that—teaching. Kyle Rittenhouse's mama drove him to kill. I'm not interested in trusting HER with my kids education.

There's a huge difference between parenting your child & encouraging them to work thru struggles and telling teachers how & what to teach. You want to scrub history, ban books, put prayer in schools & discriminate against LGBTQ ppl. Send your kids to a private, Christian school.
