My mom didn't go to college. She worked two jobs to keep the lights on & provide for my brother & me.   President Biden wants Frances Scott & millions of other Americans to pick up the student loan bill for the wealthiest among us who carry the majority of the debt. That’s wrong.

America should be a country that enables its people to seek higher education without fear of punishment with usurious interest rates. If we can incentivize corporations with billions in bailouts and forgivable loans, why not incentivize education by lowering its cost?

You have to make LESS than $125,000 for $10,000 in student loan debt to be canceled. If you qualified for a Pell grant, which is for low income college students, then you get an additional $10,000 in student loan debt cancelled. This is helping poor people, not the rich.
