Republicans think there are “high potential” and low potential children, while Dems like @ellisscschools are working to give EVERY child the best education possible. Supporting public education means supporting ALL kids in ALL schools.

People who follow this logic also are never involved with public schools in any meaningful way. Everyone can point out the flaws of public education but those of us who actually WORK in it know exactly why those flaws exist. But escapism is better than solutions to some.

Parents, teachers, taxpayers; we should ALL question your motive behind pushing to spend money on private schools. Vouchers will not benefit the poor, most can't make up the difference in cost. The vouchers then can go to the rich. Fix PUBLIC schools. Add tutors, more teachers.
The money should follow the student. Taxpayers deserve to be heard. And parents should have a choice.

Otherwise known as the Destroy Public Education Act.
You want do eliminate public education, Social Security and Medicare. That’s been the Republican’s goal for decades.
