GOP "energy policy" pushed overproduction of our 2% of world's reserves that are largely harder to access than Saudis'16%. GOP encouraged US's lead in world's oil consumption. We weren't energy independent, GOP were just partying on tomorrow's stability.
GOP's "energy independence" is:
-more fossil fuel subsidizes ($20B/yr already) & laxer regulations
-more tax $$ to clean up their waste & repair their damages that acerbate natural disasters & cause health issues.
-squash energy diversity & efficiency
-take more oil/gas blood $$.
