It shouldn’t be as difficult as it is for charter school start-ups to get federal support. Every kid in America deserves a solid educational upbringing full of potential & opportunity.

You should see how hard it is for public schools to get federal support. What’s the percentage of charter schools that fail? Over 40%? It should be really difficult for them to get federal aid because they must prove they are actually an asset and are sustainable.

That is why we have public schools. You have a choice to send them their or choose to send them to a private school. Taxpayers should have to pay for your choices on private schools.

"federal support" = taxpayer funded, for-profit schools. No oversight, no accountability to the taxpayers that pay for these charter "schools". C'mon tim. Just admit you're working for the private school lobby and not your constituents. #GOPLiesAboutEverything
