You can't open up that which is not built. The project has been scrapped by the developer when it was only 8% complete. It is not our oil. It was Canadian tar sands oil. Read and learn. washingtonpost.com/politics/…

Looks like Republicans have their orders from Big Oil to spread falsehoods about the XL pipeline, which wouldn't help domestic prices. But it most certainly would increase campaign contributions and billion dollar profits for the oil companies newsweek.com/little-evidence…

Canada would own the oil from the Keystone Pipeline. Canada is price gouging now - so even IF the pipeline were open - gas prices would not DECREASE. Canada would still be charging exorbitant prices.
