Democrats are simply repackaging Republican ideas now that their liberal policies have been widely rejected. Securing our border is vital to our national security—and something Republicans have been saying all along.

So if there's some agreement, can we get some immigration pathways and border security work done? Clear some hurdles? Get started? Work together? Legislative gridlock is doing great damage to our country. Even something small would be something.

Republicans unilaterally killed the bipartisan immigration reform bill that was passed in the Senate 68-32 in 2013. Republicans will never allow the immigration issue to be resolved, because then they'll have no agenda to motivate voters.

You got that backwards. Republicans love to take credit for working policies that they never voted for..

From the guy that called 'opportunity zones' "changing the game" but didn't tell constituents in SC low-income areas that the $29B wasn't for urban redevelopment or reinvestment. It was a real estate tax credit for billionaire corporations & businesses.

Build Back Better is primarily about lowering costs for struggling American working families. Child tax credits, affordable child care, paid leave to care for newborns are not about a new paint job. Scott's problem is a tax hike on millionaires and billionaires to pay for it.

nah. many liberal policies are popular. some conservative ideas are good (small government), some liberal ideas area good (tolerance). no need of the divisive language. let's just figure out how to do this without constantly shitting on each other
