Not a fan of Meta folks & #PCVR fanboys up in arms about positive #PSVR2 press. I absolutely enjoy playing #VR on my PC, but there is definitely a larger amount of friction before actually entering a game. With PS, I turn on my headset & I pick a game. Efficiency is 馃ご

Depends on the headset. I know my G2 was pretty much plug and play, the WMR software is on all Windows 10 and 11 PC by default. The only thing that may be needed is Steam VR for games not in the store.

Implying those titles are not going to end up on PC anyway to maximize profits in a niche market. PC has been getting PS exclusives for a couple years now

Locking the headset to the PS ecosystem is dumb though. PC could utilize it just as well and without the restrictions that Sony likes to put on the PS5. Imagine letting PC VR players have a better headset for a good price... Heaven forbid that happens. Lol

Really? because that's how it works for me on PC. I install the game. it asks me if i want to use VR. i say yes or no. How is thst "friction" to the point of being worth mentioning?

Well said. I think all headsets have their place and fanboys/console war mentality has no place in this arena if you ask me. There's a headset for everyone and they all have their selling points. I have multiple for that reason.

I鈥檓 an avid PCVR user and its clear to me that success of PSVR2 will also benefit PCVR. It removes a lot of barriers so if it gets more users into the tech, games will follow. I hope the PSVR2 will supported on PC down the road. It鈥檇 be a welcomed competitor to the ecosystem.
