I have to admit it makes me eye twitch that Returnal, a rare actually-well-written AAA game that's -about- something other than just being genre fiction, with an incredibly well acted vocal performance and an interesting woman character, got very little discussion on here.

Like Sony funded something in the tradition of Solaris, but from a studio that's been doing this particular type of action game for 20+ years. The story and ludic structure speak to each other with rare depth. The audio work and vfx are truly master class. I just...

I just seriously don't understand why this wasn't a bigger release. Did the lack of PS5s right at launch mean that their entire original launch slate didn't get covered as much? Even so, did like no-one notice it coming out on PC this month or something? It's so confusing to me
